Marty Blinde spent the first part of her life on the Colorado
Plains where she learned to hand sew and machine sew with
her mother and grandmother. After marriage, children and
several moves following her husband's career, she continued
her love of sewing by making things for the home, children's
clothes and special gifts for her friends and family.
Deciding to move into the corporate world, she finished
her bachelor's degree at the University of LaVerne and she
began a successful career in Human Resources. Although there
was never enough time to sew, she never lost her love for
it. After several years in the corporate rat race, and with
a new state-of-the-art sewing machine, the support of her
husband, children and friends, in 1992 she left the corporate
world to begin her small home-based sewing business-A Needle's
Touch.
A Needle's Touch offers our customers beautifully detailed,
hand-sewn and hand-embroidered work. With items ranging
from Christmas Stockings and seasonal gifts to Vintage Linens
and Victorian décor, we provide what you need to
decorate your home for any occasion.
Our "Vintage Classic" selection includes hand-embroidered
designs modeled after the 40s and 50s, while our "Victorian
Charm" items are reminiscent of that elegant era and
includes pillows, stockings and more. "All I Want For
Christmas" is overflowing with Christmas Stockings
and unique table linens and "Take Me Home" includes
a variety of whimsical gifts for guests and home. We also
have a line of children items.
